My wife family and I stopped by here to grab early dinner after we were finish visiting the beach. Since we were a party of 5, I couldn't make reservations off OpenTable because the limit was 4 people. So I just went early to put my name down and was told the wait would be about 30 minutes. It's basically street parking here so just find a spot and pay using the Laguna Beach Parking app. The restaurant is not that big so be aware of this and the bathroom is 1 stall per gender. When we got seated, our waiter Dom came to take our drinks order. My wife got a coke which was the bottle one and her mom got the strawberry lemonade. For our entree, I got the age top sirloin at medium rare and asked for double fries. My wife and her mom got the Scottish salmon. Her brothers each got the classic burgers. It didn't take long for our food to come out. My top sirloin was kind of small but came with asparagus, onion ring on top of the steak and a small portion of fries. The steak was cooked perfectly to medium rare and taste delicious though. My wife loved her salmon along with her mom too. Her brothers enjoyed their burger but loved the salad that it came with even more. We ended our dine in experience with the butter cake and everyone loved it. The customer service during our experience was great and we would come back again.

Note that Nick's layout focuses around the center bar, so it is generally lively and sometimes loud. Not an issue unless you're looking for a dining-centric, less noisy environment.
Food favorites were the Fried Chicken and buttercake. The house salad was fine but slightly lackluster. The sea bass was pretty decent but also a bit muted on flavor.

The food was excellent. We’ve been coming here for years and the food has always been consistent. The Napa valley old fashion is one of my favorite old fashions out there. The sea bass is extremely tender and the spinach that comes with it, oh my gosh I love it. Service is usually on point but this time around it took a while for us to get our water. Nothing major, however.

I consider myself a food snob, and I am rarely thoroughly impressed when I eat out while traveling. Not the case here at Nick’s. Absolutely phenomenal. I had the fried Deviled Eggs, the prime rib dip, and a skinny margarita. All were simply delicious. The prime rib dip was the best I’ve ever had, the bread was incredible soft, and the meat was perfect. Best creamy horseradish as well! 10/10 from me.

The food here was extremely good. We had a good size party and everything that came out was really good. I recommend the prime rib dip and definitely finish off with a hot fudge sundae.
