The food is not astounding, but not bad either. It tastes a lot more Chinese than I would normally expect from a Ramen restaurant though. The Boiled Veggie Ramen especially, is straight up a Chinese noodle dish I'm pretty sure. Their fried chicken dish/karage came in chunks the size of my palm. Not necessarily a bad thing (it tasted fine), but it did make it a bit hard to fit in my mouth.

Wanted some tsukemen and found kitakata ramen ban nai online to have some good reviews.
Unfortunately I didn't enjoy the one offered here. The noodle is not thick and chewy enough, and the dipping sauce is a saltier version of what they would put in regular ramen, instead of being something that has deeper flavors and elevated umami.

This by far the worst ramen soup meal I’ve had. Let me unpack that.. ordered the spicy miso ramen to go. The miso broth was decent but the ramen noodles were like conjee soft. If I wanted conjee I would have got conjee. The slices of pork were tough and chewy. The vegetable condiments that came with the ramen looked they’d been gathered from a low quality salad bar and just tossed in a bag. I’ve had ramen all over the world. I intensely know what top quality ramen is, this barrely meets the definition of ramen. Mushy noodle with unproperly prepared slices of pork in a decent broth. The can of Coca Cola was world class as always. I thought it would be impossible to serve lowest quality ramen at retail. I stand corrected. Took a few bites and tossed the rest in the trash. Then went to another place and effortlessly had a much better ramen experience.

I finally got to try the ramen here! I have to say, their treatment of a simple noodle soup is pretty interesting and flavorful. I got the Miso Ramen---yup, miso soup which is normally served by itself as a starter. It comes with chashu (sliced char siu pork with lots of fat 😁) and some veggie toppings. I know miso is on the salty side but I love it and could not wait to try it! It didn't disappoint, it was delicious! Nice and hot with plenty of broth which I did not finish. They offer two adult sizes, regular and large. I ordered a large bowl but the regular would've plenty. Next time!
We got there exactly at 11am when it opened on a Saturday and had to hustle for a table bc it's a small dining area. There was a small crowd of us waiting outside. The personnel is very genial and prompt. The five of us ate well for my birthday.
I think the only drawback was not being able to get the extra vegetables we wanted bc it only came with a particular ramen that none of us ordered. We got some other steamed veggies that worked but we would've preferred the leafy greens. Good eats for sure, can't wait to go back and order the ramen that comes with the leafy greens.

I ordered the Vegan Miso Ramen ($17.45 + tax + tip = $21.94) and it was delicious! The only problem I have here is that the broth was a bit too salty and it is also a little overpriced. I also didn’t know I paid for tip until I saw the receipt lol. Staff were okay. Another thing to take note of is that they do not accept cash.
