Small family run business, but owner and staff are very friendly. Seafood is fresh and wild caught and prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. The dishes come hot and freshly prepared from the kitchen to your table. The seafood were all expertly prepared and cooked perfectly. I love the nice crisp on the salmon and snapper and their fresh grilled vegetables. The owner gave our birthday girl a complimentary bread pudding dessert.

We loved their lobster rolls (with generous portions of buttery lobster), silky lobster bisque and lobster mac and cheese. Cioppino was great, but was a bit too spicy for me.
Our server was friendly and attentive, kept our drinks refilled even only slightly less than half-filled!
Parking spaces were very limited.

Attention Seafood Lovers. NEW AND IMPROVED LOCATION!!! Oysters are amazing! I am kind of an oyster snob so I tried quite a few. My favorite was the Royal Mayagi. Newports Finest salad was excellent. Super fresh ingredients and not stingy on the avocado lol. It had shrimp, lobster and crab. Calamari and Ceviche are so good. Best bread pudding I’ve had in a long time. Service was excellent and the place is very clean. They make a mean Old Fashion. Will be coming back soon to try the dry aged steak and some of the other entrées. I did see crabcakes and octopus on the menu, but I have not tried them yet. More info to come.

I can’t say enough nice things about Hook and Anchor. Wayne and his whole team are the most professional in the service industry. Today our server was Danielle who did not disappoint. If you love lobster, you will love Hook and Anchor. They have THE BEST lobster rolls I’ve ever had on the West Coast. Their new location is very inviting with a full service bar and is beautifully decorated. Perfect for casual Newport. Giving them 5 stars across the board! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So this place is so hidden I go by this place all the time if a friend didn’t tell about it would never knew it was there now let’s get to the food. I ordered the lobster roll with Kasian fries. Food was pretty good. Fries loves the bun really good I don’t know actually what they could’ve done better I’m giving an 9.3 out of 10 roll I just know that when I’ve had a roll before at oyster Broad Street I gave it a 10 but it didn’t have the same perfect score like the other place now environment it’s Ok. Will I go back to this place most likely
