We went to eat for the first time. Ordering is done using an app on your phone that automatically gets sent to the kitchen. We went for lunch and the restaurant was not very busy. Food was brought to the table in a reasonable amount of time. They have awesome fries and chicken tenders. I had one of their salads and that was great too. I did not order any beer but they have a large menu to choose from. All in all great meal.

Visited here with my family, wife and 2 teen boys. It was late and about an hour before they closed, but they were friendly, sat us quickly and came to ask us for drinks fast.
I got several appetizers, boys got chicken fingers with fries and the other a large sandwich, do not recall which. I had the asada fries, they were excellent. In fact all of the food was excellent. My son who got the chicken fingers gets them everywhere and he rates them on a 10 point scale mind you no one has been a 10 yet for him. However to my surprise this place had his first 10, so congrats, that is saying something.
For drinks had some local blonde ales which were good and boys had root beers.
Place was clean descent atmosphere, safe and in the local mall area. Convenient and delicious with great service.

First time at Karl Strauss in a very very long time. We just made it into happy hour and had about 10 to 15 minutes until it ended.
I usually like to drink coffee stouts. There were a couple of options here that I like to which included the golden stout that was different. I took a four pack of golden stout and a small growler of wreck alley, I think it is wreck alley, home also.
Happy hour prices are not great but at least they have something. The food was decent. The bartender was friendly and very welcoming. The atmosphere is laid back with a good amount of seating.
If I am in the area I may come back for more beer.

Karl Strauss Brew Company in Costa Mesa, what a wild ride it was! I must say, it felt like stepping into a bizarre alternate universe of the once-wonderful old Karl Strauss. The place seemed deader than a doornail, with no one in sight to greet you upon arrival. I half-expected tumbleweeds to roll across the floor. To add to the confusion, there were no waiters to be found. It was as if they had all embarked on an epic quest to find the fabled land of "Customer Service Excellence." Alas, they never returned. So, desperate to quench our thirst and satiate our hunger, we embarked on a self-service adventure.
"Open seating and scan the barcode" seemed to be the motto of the day. We were left to fend for ourselves like lost sheep in a beer-infused wilderness. But fear not, for the food was indeed a beacon of hope amidst the chaos. The flavors danced upon our palates, as if to say, "Don't worry, we've got your back!" The beer selection, oh, the beer selection! It was a shining star in this bewildering experience. Fresh, well thought out, and tantalizing to the taste buds. The Red Trolley on tap was a symphony of yumminess. It made us forget, if only for a moment, the oddity of our surroundings.
The beer pretzels, oh my taste buds, they were a revelation! Crispy, savory, and downright amazing. We couldn't help but marvel at the genius of infusing pretzels with the power of different sauces, but good old mustard is the best. However, the fish and chips were a different story altogether. They didn't quite hit the high notes that the pretzels did. Let's just say they were nothing to sing home about. Perhaps they missed a few notes in the frying process.
Karl Strauss Brew Company in Costa Mesa left us scratching our heads and laughing at the absurdity of it all. It was like stumbling upon a hidden comedy club, where the punchlines came in the form of missing waiters and self-service adventures. But fear not, dear adventurers, for the food and beer will still tickle your taste buds and make you forget the craziness of the world outside. Cheers to Karl Strauss, the enigma wrapped in a brewery!

This was such a great place to eat and have a drink! The service was friendly, fast, and our server Satchel went above and beyond for us. Every item we ordered was delicious and cooked to perfection! Definitely recommend to anyone!
