The atmosphere was very relaxing and the food and drinks were fantastic. I ordered a fig old fashion and it tasted Smokey and sweet. My wife ordered the pan roasted chicken, and I ordered the scallops. Both plates were made well and they have a very good flavor. Each plate was very unique and seemed like a lot of thought went into make the meals.

Food and atmosphere was INCREDIBLE. We ordered the octopus appetizer and the flavors were absolutely delicious, octopus was perfectly cooked and not rubbery. For our entrées, we had the wagyu steak special and the seafood pasta. The wagyu steak melted in your mouth and the seafood pasta had the perfect amount of sauce, delicious. We also ordered the Fig cocktail which again was perfect. Atmosphere was great with lights all around the patio, a fountain running, and some light music in the background. Our waiter was nice and service was ok, we did need to wait a bit to order our cocktail which is only reason for one less star on service. Overall I would definitely recommend this place and we will be going back!

We've been parties small and large, many times, and still when we're asked for the recommendations of the perfect, southern California fine dining experience in San Clemente, Fig313 is at the top of our list.
This restaurant is a treat! Their food, drink, service, and ambiance are all excellent, while also being equal parts casual and elegant. Service here is top notch; caring, attentive, quick, helpful, knowledgeable, and a delight to have helping your evening. Chef and his kitchen make superbly crafted dishes (and an added bonus - dishes are correctly described on the menu).
Our recommendations: work with Adam, and ask him to pair wines with your dish.
Another recommendation: dessert with port wine, beside the fire pit, ~30 minutes after sunset, when the temperature is perfect and the blue hour is just ending.

Got their house bread with fig butter, brussel sprouts, short rib, and fig burger. Two drinks.
The drinks tasted great. 5/5 for taste
The bread was good but it tasted like your regular brioche bread. But the butter tasted great.
Brussel sprouts had huge chunks of figs and I loved it. Also 5/5
Burger tasted good. But more than that the truffle fries were great.
Short rib was very soft, and the chimkchurri sauce was great as well.
Overall satisfied with the meal.
The only negative thing I noted was that we dined outside and there were whiff of bathroom smell or old egg smell that happend like 4-5 times through our dinner.

We had another great experience here last week while the babysitter watched our kids. All our dishes were beautifully plated and delicious, the service was friendly and prompt, and they have maybe my favorite ambience of restaurants in San Clemente on the outdoor patio. I love how they have the patio landscaped with lots of greenery and hanging plants, and a small fountain, as these effectively mute most road noise from nearby El Camino traffic. Park a block or two away if you drive since there’s minimal parking in the immediate area, but we prefer walking along the beach then up to here usually, about 1/2 mile.
