Went here for a quick lunch. We had the meatball sandwich. The atmosphere is cute inside and you can sit outside and eat also. I don’t have anything really negative about this place. It was quick to get seated, food is okay, I only had meatball sandwich but it was okay maybe could have had more flavor but not bad. Service was good. I’d have no problem coming back here.

Fratellino’s Italian Restaurant was in Fullerton for 10 years before they relocated their business to Brea. They are well-known for their take-out Party Trays. I’ve passed this restaurant many times in the 15 years I’ve lived in Brea. It was our first time dining here. It’s very quaint and they do have an outdoor patio area. We went on a Wednesday night and it wasn’t that busy. They had the Dodgers game on the tvs, not something you would expect at a nice Italian restaurant. It was obvious that the staff were watching the game. The hand painted Italian countryside murals are a nice touch. Their complimentary appetizer is carrots, pepperoncini peppers and ranch. Not a favorite for the table. Typically for most Italian restaurants, they give fresh bread with roasted garlic or olive oil. The Garlic Bread, which comes with certain meals, was tasty. We tried: (For all pasta, they were perfectly al dente) Alfredo with angel hair pasta, bacon, and chicken - very creamy. Bacon could have crispier. Angel Hair with creamy pesto and shrimp - not as creamy. Seemed more like pesto than creamy pesto. Needed more flavor. Chicken Parmigiana - the marinara sauce didn’t have any hint of basil. Needed more flavor. Beef lasagna and Fettuccine Alfredo - lasagna wasn’t in a typical square slice or even a rectangular slice, where you can see the layers. Seemed like a small portion. Clam Sauce Over Linguine - classic Italian restaurant dish. I like the chopped clams in this dish. I guess it’s texture for me. It could have been a little bit more flavorful. Great customer service from Danny. For an authentic Italian restaurant, I expected more fresh, high-quality ingredients, fresh, homemade, or locally made bread and flavors more intense.

We got there and got sat really fast. we placed our order and they came quickly hot and fresh. Looking around, thinking that i was the only one feeling proud of my evening dinner here, it looked like it was everyone’s day. We celebrated my Grandpa’s birthday and they brought him a desert with candle. we sung Birthday song and a few voices around us joined us. It was a great evening for the whole family. The food is delicious, Table arrangements is professional and server kept coming to ask whether we are ok and this felt human presence unlike other Places with robots.

You cannot come to Miami / Coral Gables without eating at Fratellino. I love that it's family owned. Their pasta is beyond words fabulous. Today I had the caprese salad and it did not disappoint. Everyone here is so friendly and goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect for you. Their branzino is a must, coupled with homemade pasta. Will be back soon for sure!

I cannot give this place anything more than a single star. We were sat down quickly... but that was it. We ordered food with our waiter and then began the longest wait... at least 40 minutes went by and the 9nly "appetizer" they gave us was carrots with ranch? where is the bread... my sister was able to change her baby and breastfeed the baby and still have plenty of time to chat before we got our food. When we finally DID get our food... It looked horrible. One of us got a single meatball in their meatball dish. and then it was just cold pasta and ketchup on top. my sister got pesto rottini and it was again, just cold pasta with pesto on top. The pictures do it justice. My mother got fettucine chicken alfredo and she said it was ok, but she did not finish it. Mine was the best: I got the eggplant parmigiana and since it was a dinner entree, i got minestrone soup and a side of penne pasta with it. the pasta was horrible. And then we did not see our waiter for the rest of our visit. There were PLENTY of waiters. Maybe 1 person for every 2 tables... but why did we not see any waiter come ask us if we wanted refill on our water or sodas? We actually had to get up and go to the front desk to ask for our check and leave because we were there for almost 2 hours... and only about 20 minutes of it was spent eating. Oh and we finally got the good bread (best part of our meal) with our food so i guess that was good. Also the interior was nice. But that's it. Olive Garden and Old Spaghetti Factory are better than this pathetic excuse for a restaurant.
