They definitely brought quality Detroit pizza to SoCal. Highly recommended for anyone who has never tried midwestern pizza or fellow migrates that would like a tasty reminder of home.

Few weeks ago we went to Pizza Port as a halfway point on to our trip to San Diego, and we decided to hold out on our lunch for Gibroni’s afterwards. So glad we did that! (not to say Pizza Port’s Pizza didn’t look good or anything) We live in Burbank and have always been obsessed with Prime pizza, but now after Gibroni’s, it will never be the same. Also even after recently returning from Chicago, I think Detroit style pizza might be my new jam or maybe it’s just Gibroni’s. I heard good things here, but me and my girlfriend were pleasantly surprised. The crispy crust, the sauce on top of the pizza, and just overall quality was mind blowing. Wish I lived closer to San Clemente.

As expected when looking for the finest Detroit style pizza your gonna have to make a trip. We've often brought people done from far away in LA county to enjoy this Detroit pie. It's fluffy pillows of dough encrusted in cheese to the edge of the pan. Can you order at a window and the food is brought to you. Salads are quick but pizzas take some time to come out. Definitely order a salad first. A tart tomato sauce on top. It's a winner.

Super cool spot, great food, great service. Very small town vibe. The owner was walking around in flops and board shorts. Absolutely love it. The pizza was epic, exactly what I was hoping for! Wings also very tender and great.

It was our first visit here, and I really was hoping I would enjoy it more than I did.
Ordering food was easy at the walk-up counter. There is no table service. You have to get in the food line to order your meal. Then you gou stand at the bar to order a beer.
Then you look for a table. We found one empty, but they only cleared the food and glasses but never wiped it down. I had to get someone with a towel to clean it for us.
Our pizza came, and it was only 4 small squares for $22 + tax & tip. A beer was $9.50. The pizza had good flavor, but it was so soaked and dripping with oil that the pizza was soggy in places.
The fact that they still have live music like the previous owner is a plus.
Overall, the value and service for the price didn't really work for us. There are many great choices to eat out in San Clemente.
