Everytime we sit down for teppan, it’s an experience! The cooks are so funny and somehow everyone manages to catch the flying rice in their mouths. The main dish and sides are always cooked to order and to top it off, there’s always left overs to remind you if it’s worth. Outside of my family w this hidden gem, riptide's atmosphere isn’t short in providing adult fun. Don’t believe me?! Come out and try it for yourself. You’ll enjoy high quality food in a versatile yummy environment!

The front desk staff was rude and disorganized, leaving us waiting over 30 minutes despite having reservations. The Teppanyaki experience was dreadful—the chef was rude, obnoxious, and rushed through the entire process, which should have been fun, interactive, and entertaining. Overall, the service was terrible from start to finish. They were out of scallops and lobster, and the strict menu selections couldn't be altered to accommodate for the missing items. The amount of money that I spent at this restaurant was not worth it! Benihana’s is 100% better in all categories. It's unfortunate that the service and food quality have declined over time, as this used to be a cherished family tradition for birthdays and special occasions.

We visited this place about 5 years ago, and we enjoyed the teppanyaki table very much along with the food and service. As a result, we decided to visit again in November for a relatives birthday and were very disappointed.
To begin with, when reserving the table there was a misunderstanding and we were not seated at the teppanyaki table as we wanted and were seated at a regular booth. The issue was that there was about 12 people in our party and we barely fit at the table even with additional chairs placed on the sides.
The rest of the night kept getting worse and worse, from attitude from our waitress to mediocre food, it didn't seem like the same place we visited before at all. Our cutlery was dirty when it arrived and when we asked for replacements the waitress hesitantly took the dirty forks and finally returned around 10 minutes later only to have grabbed the forks from the empty table beside us. Also, despite it being a Saturday evening, the restaurant was not as busy but the waiters took forever to serve us and provide us with our food and many of the fish were unavailable impacting the number of sushi choices you could pick from or any of the lobster rolls. Just seemed a but odd to make half of your menu unavailable on a weekend night when your primary cuisine is seafood.
I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for special occasions, maybe for an occasional outing but I wouldn't bet on them having all their sushi options or even good service.

I've been coming here for 15 years and Riptide used to be so much better. No longer has the same feel inside nor level of service. Feels like a decent option for a nice dinner if you're aged 16-21 but there are much better options around.
I would recommend many places for sushi, there are way better bar options, and if you want a teppanyaki experience come in with low expectations.
