We had John as a server, super nice guy… Not pushy at all, had some great recommendations on food and was very attentive! The food was super good, the highlights were the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer, Chilean sea bass, and the beef stroganoff. Mac and cheese was alright, came out a little cold but it was fine. French fries order is enormous! Baked potato was solid as well.

My father and I read Salt Creek Grille was under new ownership, and we also notice they had Pacific Spiny lobsters. Pop's and I were huge fans of Harbor Grill over the years in Dana Point Harbor, which closed unfortunately. We thought we'd try a new watering hole and gave SC Grille a try. We loved it. Friendly atmosphere, great menu & excellent service. Our bartender (Luis) took our drink order & told us the specials. We stopped’em at the wood grilled lobsters.. which were grilled perfectly, and just as good, if not better than HG. The manager (Jessica) came by to check on us, as well. Great experience.. live piano. We’ll be back to try their ribeye chop soon.

The food at this restaurant is consistently excellent. After many dinners and choosing different entrées, everything was prepared perfectly. The service is second to none. Each server we have had not only knows and understands the menu well but also can give us suggestions on certain dishes. The servers are on top of their game and we have never sat for any length of time without them checking on us. The restaurant has a casual yet slightly more sophisticated. Ambience and they always make you feel like family there. The prices are not too high so it makes for a great dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant and hope you try it real soon.

We wanted to try this restaurant after the new owner, so 6 of us went for a birthday celebration. First, we got to a table with a "reserved" sign on it but there were only 4 silverware sets. Soon after a waitress came to greet but not introducing her name so I had to ask. She gave us menu and quickly walked a way without offering any drinks ... we sat and talked for 25' while watching her buzzing around the bar and tables near by. We had to flag her down for orders. She then disappeared. My salad came but no silverware, had to wait until spotted her. Only 10' in while having a salad, our entrees came, there were not much rooms on the table for 6, they asked to take our salad away... my husband got a steak but it didn't come with a steak knife. Had to flag down the waitress for it. The food was ok, the plates were very plain looking for this type of restaurant. Our table is across from the soiled dishes station, so alot more noises besides from the bar. The only highlight was Jess, the owner, who stopped by and had a 10' conversation with us, he even requested the pianist to play a happy birthday song for our friend. Other than that, this restaurant doesn't live up to its hype. There are alot better options out there, great food and services.
