Ted was our server, we had reservations for the dinning room but we were seated in the bar for cocktails before dinner. We decided to stay in the bar for dinner. We ordered fish, lamb chops, steak, and a chopped salad with chicken. Everything was cooked perfectly, very tasty, and enjoyable.
It was a Monday night, there was a piano player in the bar area. The bar area was a little noisy because of some people, not the restaurants fault. Great service (Ted) great food. Definitely a place to try.

Was honestly SO disappointed with the new SCG. First of all, I’ve been an OG scg fan. And I’ll admit it was never spot on and always hit or miss but when it was good it was great. Decided to check out the newly remodeled SCG because of honestly the sandpit for kids. I love places we can bring kids and they can play and I can sit down and have a glass of wine almost unbothered. Our reservation was for 5:15 on Friday. First annoying thing is $$$ for valet. I can park my own car and with kids I’d honestly rather but at least it’s only $5. Annoying but not a huge problem. We got to our table and we saw so many people working. Like the most people I’ve ever seen for management and clean up crew. Our waiter came and introduced himself. He didn’t know much of the menu, seemed annoyed when I asked what the seasonal vegetables were. He brought me a white wine instead of a red and told my husband they have cocktails but not a cocktail menu but it was a full bar.
For a small menu they cannot execute. I asked for the short rib croquette to have the horseradish on the side because then my child could eat it but it didn’t come that way and then he never came to check on us. The short rib was super dry and over cooked.
The heirloom salad was just ok. Nothing to rave about.
I got the kids salmon for my child, the ahi tower for myself, and my husband got the pork chop.
Salmon was perfect. It was delicious. I know this because my child ate none and I ended up eating her meal.
Ahi tower was pathetic. Normally you’d expect an even amount of ingredients. No. Lots of avocado and chopped edamame, half that portion for the ahi. I was craving something cold and raw and it sounded so good. Also, the wontons were overcooked or old. They were almost stale like. Again, never got to complain because no one came to the table.
My husbands pork chop was over cooked. Again, no one came to check and we were abandoned.
Actually so abandoned I never even got to order a second round of drinks, which we would have because it was a beautiful day.
Although they have so many staff members it seems no one communicated. They don’t know the menu. And either they’re so overwhelmed they can’t staff sections properly or they hire servers and do not give them adequate training. Being in the industry myself I was extremely disappointed. The waiter came after all food etc was finished. Didn’t ask how it was. Didn’t offer refills etc. just a sad experience. Won’t be back.

I recently dined at Salt Creek Grille and had the pleasure of being served by Tommy. From the moment we were seated, Tommy made us feel very welcome and comfortable. He was incredibly attentive, ensuring our glasses were always full and checking in just the right amount to see if we needed anything. Tommy had excellent knowledge of the menu and provided great recommendations that we thoroughly enjoyed and it also came with a coffee crust 😉. His friendly demeanor and professional service truly enhanced our dining experience. Tommy's exceptional service is a big reason why I'll definitely be returning to Salt Creek Grille! Highly recommended!

South County seams to be missing out on the Sat Lunch menu at Salt Creek. I had the chilaquiles and mom had eggs Benedict (pic below). Walked in at 11:45 no wait. Fantastic brunch.
