Our 1st visit. I searched for a great place to find Chicago deep dish pizza. The food was quick and delicious, and the portions were very generous. The atmosphere was relaxing and perfect for a date with the husband. ❤️
$4 beer, $4 soup and a $14 Calzone with 2 toppings. I really liked the Honey Blonde House Brew and the soup was very good - with the exception that it should be served with some type of bread. The bar tender asked me right away if I wanted a dinner roll and after the first was done I asked for another which was not an issue. Overall the place has a great atmosphere, low playing current and past rock music from various time periods. The tables are clean, the people are friendly, the waiters, servers and hosts are on point and I will be back. Unless my Calzone fails, they earned 4 stars. They lost 1 point because I was asked to wait for the manager to place my order at the restaurant and they never came. When I walked over to the bar, they gave me service right away.
First time here. I saw the sign off Santa Margarita for years. Just never stopped here. I had a few free moments in the area so I decided to give it a try. I love pizza. The place was pretty quite as it was after lunch. Staff was super attentive. I ordered a Da'Vinny personal lunch special. Deep dish Pizza and a salad. The salad was quite generous and delicious. The blue cheese was nice and strong if you know what I mean. The crust of the pizza was perfect. Crispy. But not too hard. The pepperoni, Italian sausage, and marinara sauce were a perfect balance. Definitely will come back. And recommended
Wonderful food and great drinks. Great service except for one thing. The last three times I've been here, I've tried to get an Artisan pizza with just Pepperoni. I've even specifically said "No mushrooms, please" and had the server acknowledge that. And the last three times I've tried, somebody along the way doesn't get the "No mushrooms" memo and they put mushrooms on the pizza. If I had a nickel every time this team has ignored my request for no mushrooms, I'd have three nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it's happened this consistently. PLEASE do better.
We love sitting in the “tavern” side. The service is always personal and attentive without being annoying. They have great food options along with drinks. Asking for recommendations is always a good idea. Happy hour is fun
