I reserved the private room at SJC for my son’s rehearsal dinner (Nov 2023) and couldn’t have been more pleased with our experience. From reserving the room, to picking the food, to help with my set-up, the staff..everything was on point. Great people. Very reasonably priced and food was delicious! I highly recommend them.
Stopped in for lunch. Glad to see a full page of gluten free items for my wife. Chicago deep dish was delicious!
Stick with salads, those are better but make sure you sit close to the waiter or a way to flag someone down because you'll be waiting forever to place your order or food..nothing came out together, had to ask multiple times and couldn't get anyone to bring out rest of food, finally, the minestrone was so horrible a can of Campbell's would have made a drastic improvement. I can understand busy but they were not slammed and had adequate staff as there were several waiters bussers per several tables. Not sure if it's a training issue but we will definitely not be returning, poor service for mediocre meals does not equal more than 1 star in my book.
Selma's Chicago Pizzeria is an incredible restaurant. There are multiple locations around the area. This particular one requires a paid parking lot, but the other ones are available with free parking. The staff here is great. The menu is extensive. Their beer selection is wonderful. Bring your entire family and enjoy their food. They show sports on their televisions in the bar area. They do have rooms that are available for private events if you are so inclined. At least one of the owners is a family man, and that goes a long way in my book.
Gotta rave about this restaurant. I have been trying to find good Chicago style deep dish pizza in California for 23 years and found it here, quite by accident. My Wife and I both are originally from Chicago, and we are very familiar with what makes a good, no, great deep dish pizza. This place got it right! We split a small size, with only Italian sausage (good quality sausage too), we started off with the regular size Italian chopped salad. This was plenty of food for us both and probably too much for a couple of average eaters. The staff was courteous and helpful, very professional. The restaurant was clean and very pleasant, with windows open to the sidewalk and an outdoor patio. There is a full bar which features a happy hour menu. The restrooms were well maintained, clean and fully stocked. Service was quick. The price for all this was not bad either! We had two iced teas as well, and the bill, with tax, came out to just $36.96! About what you would pay for a couple of burgers in a casual dining restaurant. All in all, I, we highly recommend this restaurant and will be coming back again.
