Sushi Koto in Orange County is a home run for sushi lovers! Run by a Japanese chef who's a big baseball fan, especially of Shohei Ohtani, this place is a real grand slam. The atmosphere will transport you straight to Japan, and the variety of sushi options will have you feeling like a kid in a candy store.
It might be a bit busy on the weekends. The fresh ingredients and preparation make it clear why this place is a hit with locals and visitors alike. So, if you're in the mood for some top-notch sushi and a taste of Japan right here .

6.14.24 Fresh food and busy place. Potion is okay.. seems a lot because of the small bowl. Price is a little higher than other places but doesn't seem to bother patrons.
Over all... Good sushi place to visit.

Good, tasty sashimi and attentive service. Bento box has some interesting selection. My choice of Ohtani din is ok. My husband enjoyed his omakase sushi (#2), and that is a pleasant surprise.

Their chirashis are rich with tasty raw fish and are worth mid 20 dollar price range. You will be full. Also some bowls provide desserts - pumpkin pudding and its really good.

Girlfriend lives in Japan and saw the Ohtani don on the news and told me to try it! Went around 5pm on a Friday and it was almost empty but restaurant started to fill up around 6pm. Servers spoke Japanese and English. They were very friendly! I don’t even know what was in the bowl but everything was delicious (even the shrimp and I don’t usually eat that). Pieces of fish were big and texture was so soft and smooth. It came with shrimp head, miso soup and a dessert. Never had shrimp head before, server recommended it fried. Texture was like chips. Dessert was pumpkin pudding. The pudding and shiratama were not that sweet but with the red beans and whipped cream 😮💨. Spent around $35. Really satisfied with my experience here 👍🏼. Would even bring my girlfriend and her family here!
